The OXYCLEAN AIR FILTERS with ODOR DEFENSE® filter uses a special pharmaceutical-grade carbon filter media that not only removes foul odors and harmful gases, but also removes dust and other contaminants and pollutants from the airflow in your home.
OXYCLEAN AIR FILTERS with ODOR DEFENSE® is a MERV 8, which means it has an Arrestance as high as 95%, and and a lower resistance to airflow than the higher MERV filters. It removes dust particles the size of 3 Microns (As Per ANSI/ASHRAE STANDARD 52.2) To illustrate, the dot inside the parenthesis ( . ) is 615 microns.
At the same time it is working to remove these tiny particles, it is also removing foul odors and harmful gases flowing around your home in the air. And, because it is a MERV 8 it does not unduly restrict the air flow of your furnace or air handler.
