OXYCLEAN AIR FILTERS with ODOR DEFENSE® filter uses a special pharmaceutical-grade carbon filter media that not only removes foul odors and harmful gases, but also removes microscopic dust, and other contaminants and pollutants, the ones that can cause you trouble. For example, it captures pollen, mold, spores, dust mite debris, cat and dog dander, and many more contaminants from the airflow in your home.
OXYCLEAN AIR FILTERS with ODOR DEFENSE® is a MERV 8, but if you have a preconceived idea MERV 8 is not good, listen to this. This filter has an Arrestance as high as 95%, and a lower resistance to airflow than the higher MERV filters.
It removes dust particles the size of 3 Microns (As Per ANSI/ASHRAE STANDARD 52.2) To illustrate, the dot inside the parenthesis ( . ) is 615 microns. To illustrate further, the naked eye can only see particles bigger than 40 microns.
